Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) provides public access to information held by public authorities.
It does this in two ways:
- Public authorities are obliged to publish certain information about their activities; and
- Members of the public are entitled to request information from public authorities.
In line with FOI, the Practice has a culture of openness and transparency and believes in information sharing. We information on the following areas which are accessible by request:

- The services we provide
- Finance and funding
- Guidance and information
- Complaints system
- Policies and procedures
If you wish to access any this information, most of which is free of charge (if there is any cost involved, you will be advised at the time of request), please make a written application to the Practice Manager, Longton Grove Surgery, 168 Locking Road, Weston super Mare, BS23 3HQ. Some information may be withheld including personal and confidential information about individuals which is protected by the Data Protection Act 1998.
